Paterson residents are invited to enter the “The Greenest Place in Paterson!” Garden Contest sponsored by City Green, a community garden and educational programming non-profit based in Wyckoff,New Jersey.
“City Green is holding this contest in order to showcase the beautification efforts of Paterson’s gardeners as they continue to create flower and vegetable gardens, flower boxes and container gardens to beautify their neighborhoods,” said Jennifer Papa, Executive Director of City Green.
Prizes will be awarded for: Best Use of Color; Best Flower Garden; Best Vegetable Garden; Best Street Tree Bed; Best Window Box; Best ContainerGarden; Most Creative; Best use of Art in the Garden; and Most Neighborhood Participation on a residential block and a commercial block.
Contest registration is through July 16th.Judges will visit the gardens the week of July 19th and an awards ceremony will be held in late August.
