The extensive roster of New Vitality classes, workshops, support groups and social events offered at Chilton Memorial Hospital are part of an award-winning health and wellness program tailored for mature adults age 50 and over. Specifically, New Vitality members receive: health screenings; access to prescription discounts; exercise programs (tai chi chih, yoga, Better Bones, acquacise, dancing and mall walking); information and referral services; confidential assistance with Medicare and secondary insurances; access to in-home emergency-response systems; access to support groups; educational classes and courses about health, personal finances, insurance, art music, nutrition, writing and history; and invitations to holiday parties and other social events.

Most programs are free and are held at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains or at various locations throughout the community.

April 9 and 21 - New Jersey Meadowlands, Part 4 by Angela Cristini, PhD, the Director of Educational Programming, NJ Meadowlands Environmental Center. Held at The Collins Pavilion of Chilton Memorial Hospital, 10am.

April 22 – Calling All Grandparents! 6:30pm-8:30pm, Chilton Memorial Hospital Board Room. Information about current parenting trends to nurture a better understanding between grandparents and new parents.

April 23 and 30 – AARP Driver Safety Program. 10am-3pm, The Collins Pavilion Conference Room of Chilton Memorial Hospital. Learn about changes in laws, highways, vehicles, perception, vision and reflexes. $12 for AARP members; $14 for nonmembers.
