John Theurer Cancer Center Physician to Speak At Upcoming Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Event

David Vesole, M.D., Ph.D, of New York City, co-division chief of the Division of Multiple Myeloma, and director of Myeloma Research at the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), will speak at an upcoming event hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The program will be held on Wednesday, March 31, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Newark Museum, located at 49 Washington Street in Newark. The program is free, but pre-registration is required by Monday, March 29. A complimentary light supper will be served.

Dr. Vesole will present Living with Myeloma: An Overview of Diagnosis and Treatment, a free educational program for those touched by any cancer diagnosis, family members, and healthcare providers. Topics include an overview of myeloma, current and emerging drug therapies and stem cell transplantation, disease and treatment-related side effects, emotional aspects and resources available for support, clinical trial options for myeloma patients, and a question and answer session.
