Coach Emma Nelson Helps Women Train for Good Living 5K

You don't have to be super-fit to take part in the  New Jersey Women’s Good Living 5K Run. However, we want to help you to make this a memorable event, whether it’s to jog the course at a beginner level or run it at a more competitive speed.

The 5K Run

The New Jersey Women's Good Living 5K Run course is flat and fast. Whatever your goals may be, proper preparation for a 5K run is a great way to step up your fitness level. It is the perfect introductory distance for novice racers, as well as a challenging test of strength and speed for the most competitive runners.

Follow the Plan

Following a plan takes the guesswork out of daily workouts and gives structure and meaning to your training.  Emma does the planning for you. Your job is simply to follow the plan and have lots of fun along the way.

Training for a 5K is a great place to start running or come back to running. It doesn’t take a big time commitment—under an hour a day, at least three days a week. And experienced runners can tell you: it can be just as much of a challenge as the longer races. If it feels a little intimidating, don’t worry. Most things worth doing are. So push your limits, race the clock, and compete with yourself. It will be the start of a new adventure.
