Don Bosco Prep Chapel Concert on March 10, 2018: Don Bosco Prep, now in its twelfth season of Chapel Concerts, will present Tenor John Tiranno, singing Opera, Oratorio & Neapolitan, on Saturday, March 10th at 7:30 pm in Mary Help of Christians Chapel, St. John’s Hall on the Don Bosco Prep campus, 492 North Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey, New Jersey. Tenor John Tiranno has been called a “clear-voiced tenor” and has had his singing called “ardent and mellifluous” by The New York Times.
Mr. Tiranno will be accompanied by Elizabeth Young, pianist and violinist. Ms. Young has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Radio City Music Hall, St. John the Divine Cathedral, Trinity Church at Wall Street, and The United Nations, among other notable venues in New York City, as well as the National Gallery of Art and the Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC. A graduate of Manhattan School of Music, she has appeared on the BBC, CBS, and CNN. As an orchestral and chamber musician, she has performed numerous concerts with orchestras throughout the North America and Europe. After over a decade living in Manhattan, Young moved to Santa Fe, where she has a busy career as a regular performer with the New Mexico Philharmonic, the Santa Fe Symphony, the Santa Fe Opera, and in numerous solo and chamber music performances. She is on the faculty of New Mexico School for the Arts and is the conductor of the Intermezzo String Orchestra.
