Each school year, The Village School invites its parents to come and enjoy a hands-on experience with the Montessori Materials. They learn how a lesson works, become familiar with the names of the materials and experience a real lesson from the teachers. This is a great opportunity to experience first-hand a day-in-the-life of a Village School student and to see for themselves what their children are doing and learning each day.
The Village School is a private, not-for-profit Montessori school for children ages 18 months to 14 years from New Jersey's Bergen and Passaic counties and New York's Rockland County. Its programs, ranging from toddler to middle school, are grounded in the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori reflecting the view that each child, through individual talents, interests, and learning styles, is inherently unique.
