Geri M. Kelly Appointed Exectutive VP, Human Resources Officer of Columbia Bank

Thomas Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank, has announced that Geri M. Kelly has been appointed Executive Vice President, Human Resources Officer.

In her new role, Mrs. Kelly will continue to manage the bank’s Human Resources, Training and Benefits Departments. She joined Columbia Bank in 1979 as a Personnel Clerk and was later promoted to Human Resources Assistant. In 1984, she was appointed Human Resources Officer and was appointed Senior Human Resources Officer in 1995. Mrs. Kelly was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources Officer in 1998 and to Senior Vice President, Human Resources Officer in 2000.

“Geri is a well-known figure in banking, business and community affairs,” Mr. Kemly noted. “She is an active member of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey, the New Jersey Bankers Association, the Center for Financial Training and the March of Dimes, and is also a recent winner of Columbia’s “Community Service Award” and the Commerce and Industry Association’s “Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award,” presented for outstanding community volunteerism.”

Mrs. Kelly holds a Bachelors degree in Italian and French from Douglass College and an MBA in Business Administration from Rutgers University. She also graduated with Honors from the National School of Banking in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Mrs. Kelly resides in Kinnelon, New Jersey, with her family.
