The Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Foundation (englewoodhospitalfoundation.org) recently received a generous gift from local Cresskill residents Yaz and Sweta Shah. Parents to two small children and owners of a successful local business, the young couple is determined to make a difference in their community through charitable giving.
Three years ago, the Shahs donated the use of one of their buildings, a 5,000-square-foot property near Englewood Hospital. They have now generously agreed to renew their commitment by granting an additional three years of access to the space, allowing the Hospital to house several medical and administrative offices.
“Growing up in Bergenfield, I have seen Englewood Hospital transform itself into a leading healthcare institution committed to serving the needs of a diverse, multicultural community,” said Mr. Shah. “We hope that our donation inspires others to get involved in their own community as well.”
In recognition of their extraordinary gift, the Medical Center has renamed the Outpatient Registration Department “The Yaz and Sweta Shah Hudson Drug of Cresskill Outpatient Registration Department.”
The Shahs live in Cresskill with their two young children, Sonali, age 7, and Samir, age 6, both born at Englewood Hospital. The Shahs own and operate Hudson Drug of Cresskill.
