Columbia Bank has helped to make Thanksgiving brighter for local families, by donating 50 holiday turkeys to the Center for Food Action (CFA). The turkeys were delivered to and distributed through the CFA food distribution warehouse located at 224 Midland Avenue in Saddle Brook.

Shown participating in a special presentation are (from left) Renee Gordon-Johnson, Site Manager of the Center for Food Action’s Saddle Brook food distribution warehouse; Thomas Kemly, Columbia Bank’s Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; and Patricia Espy, CFA Executive Director.

Columbia was also recently cited by CFA for making a $23,300 grant, though their Columbia Bank Foundation, to funded the renovation of the recently-opened Saddle Brook food distribution warehouse and for their ongoing CFA food collection efforts, since 2004.

In making the donation, Mr. Kemly said, “As a true community bank, we strive to make a measurable difference in people’s lives. We believe in giving something back to the local communities we so proudly serve.”
