Teaneck Sings! Week begins Saturday night, January 19th, 2013 with a “Teaneck Teen Idol” contest, at 8:00 pm at Teaneck High School, where teens sing to win a recording session and opportunities to perform with the Teaneck Community Chorus.

13 semi-finalists have been selected and are currently rehearsing for the show.

A panel of judges, including former Mayor Jackie Kates, studio owner Howard Bowler and singer-songwriters Audrey Martell and Grammy Award-winning Gordon Chambers will choose five finalists. The Teaneck Teen Idol will be voted on by the audience.

This will be a memorable night showcasing Teaneck’s amazing teen talent.

On contest night, Saturday, January 19th, the panel of judges will select five Judges' Finalists. Each sings a second song for the audience vote. The top audience vote-getter wins Teaneck Teen Idol.
