Get ready for a wonderful day of family fun, food and fitness at the NJ Women's Good Living Festival presented by mybergen.com!
Interactive exhibits, a women's 5K run and 3K walk, premier businesses, spas, restaurants, celebrities, activities for kids, live entertainment, raffles prizes and more are scheduled for this major northern Jersey 'happening' which will be held on June 4, 2011 from 8:30 am -1:30 pm on the campus of Bergen Community College at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus. Admission to the Festival is free!
Women's 5K Run & 3K Walk
The day will kick-off with a women’s 5K run and 3k walk at 9:30 am and 10:00 am. Both the run and walk are completely within the college campus and feature flat, fast courses. The 5K run will feature mother-daughter awards and a fabulous Runners Dream Basket provided by New Balance North Jersey for the overall 5K Champion. The 3K walk is the perfect opportunity for mothers, daughters, sisters or girlfriends to experience a fun and healthy start to a great day. Event day registration is available starting at 7:30 am at the staging area on the campus of Bergen Community College.
A Family Event
The race and walk will be followed by the Festival which will continue through 1:30 pm. The NJ Women's Good Living Festival offers something for every member of the family. The event will feature live entertainment, food, dozens of interactive exhibits and fun things to do with the kids!
From the Festival Stage
The entertainment portion of the festival will be emceed by comedienne and actress Katy Hayes, a recent finalist in the Gilda's Club Laugh-Off. The day's entertainment highlights will feature recent Emmy nominee Martha Byrne of Bergen County who will present entertainment from Full Circle Talent Group, her talent academy, also located in Paramus. Byrne, a two-time Emmy winner, is perhaps best known for her role as Lily Snyder on As the World Turns on CBS-TV.
Jackie Madden, also a Bergen County resident and star of VH1’s 2010 series “You’re Cut Off”, will be performing her current Billboard Top 40 Dance Club/Play Chart hit “Falling” from the Festival stage.
Sal Lauretta for Men will be providing a pre-Father's Day fashion show perfectly timed for women in the audience who may be looking for ideas for Dad!
Festival entertainment will also include live music, yoga demonstrations, guest speakers and even a healthy hula hoop demonstration courtesy of HNH Fitness!
Food!
A number of popular area restaurants and a few newer local eateries will be providing free samples and also selling hot and cold food and beverages at special Festival pricing.
Bring the Kids
The NJ Women's Good Living Festival will offer a number of great free activities for kids including pottery making, the HNH Fitness Kids Healthy Boot Camp, the ETD Soccer Kick Challenge, children's yoga courtesy of Kula for Karma and more!
Making a Difference
Many of the region's non-profits and community business organizations will be participating in the NJ Women's Good Living Festival. Organizations such as Shelter Our Sisters, City Green, Habitat for Humanity and several chambers of commerce will be on hand to explain what they do and how they help to make our lives better. NVE Bank is a sponsor of the regional Chamber of Commerce tent.

The NJ Women's Good Living Festival will feature over 30 exhibitors! Arrive early so your family can experience all that the day has to offer. Exhibitors ranging from Saks Fifth Avenue, to Bergen County Auto Group, to Lush Day Spa, to Team WE Sports will be providing complimentary and interactive experiences. Many of these exhibitors will be raffling fabulous prizes throughout the day. Whether you're interested in a paraffin manicure, a relaxing massage, or even learning how to train for a triathlon, there will be a lot to choose from at the NJ Women's Good Living Festival.
