Few area holiday entertainment options in 2009 are likely to match the excitement generated when Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli's 2009 fall/winter tour takes him to the IZOD Center in East Rutherford on December 5.

The Grammy-nominated protégé of Pavarotti is touring the United States in support of his recent release,"My Christmas". Fans catching Bocelli on this tour can expect to hear seasonal selections from this David Foster produced CD as well as many of the classical crossover performances which have made the Tuscany native an international sensation.

While sometimes dismissed by critics of classical music, the 51 year old singer's star has risen steadily since exploding on the international scene more than a decade ago.Since that time he has sold over 60 million albums and is widely regarded as the most popular Italian singer in the world.

Bocelli's debut Christmas album features Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, White Christmas and other familiar favorites as well as duets with Reba McEntire,Natalie Cole and the Muppets.
