On Sunday, February 19th, critically acclaimed songwriter Wille Nile and local songwriter Joe D’Urso will perform in a co-bill concert at the Acoustic Café Music Series in Park Ridge, sharing an afternoon of songs and stories.
The performance will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Academy, 25 Fremont Avenue in Park Ridge. The show begins at 2:00 pm, doors open at 1:30 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance or $22 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund for St. Vincent's in Vallieres, Haiti, Our Lady of Mercy's twinning parish. Joe D'Urso, a Rockland County native and now Park Ridge resident, has released 12 CD/records since 1991 with his band, Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan. Joe, solo and with band, has performed in 25 countries since 1993. His CD release in 2000 "Rock & Roll Station" was selected for the Grammy nomination process and JD&SC were chosen by House of Blues Concerts as house band for the 100th Anniversary Harley Davidson's Open Road World Tour that saw JD&SC as the only independent band on a tour that included Bob Dylan, Kid Rock, Aerosmith, Tim McGraw and many other great American artists.
